RFP Proposal Team Manager

What Will You Do?
  • Manage the team and mentor junior members of the team
  • Review processes and procedures to ensure the team operates efficiently
  • Ensure the work is assigned appropriately amongst the team and deadlines achieved
  • Liaise with business requesters regarding deadlines and deliverables given resources and other commitments
  • Review and sign off the team’s work
  • Set objectives for the team
  • Conduct appraisals for the team
  • Coordinate introductory meetings and training for new team members
  • Complete more complex RFP’s
  • Keep the RFP database updated with recent responses
  • Respond to regular and ad hoc requests from the sales and client teams
  • Ensure appropriate and clear language is used in accordance with the company literature principles, for product documentation and disclosures
  • Ensure as far as possible that disclosures, i.e. investment objectives and policies, and respective risk disclosures are reflected consistently within product documentation and across like products (where jurisdictional regulations permit)
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned
  • Manages the RFP team

What Skills Do You Need?
  • At least 5 years proven RFP experience within an asset management company
  • At least 2 years prior experience managing an RFP team
  • Experience of completing both retail and institutional documents
  • Experience across different asset classes; equities, fixed income and absolute return/hedge funds
  • Understand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if you would like further explanation or direction regarding this
  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets
  • Understanding of issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering
  • Educated to degree level
  • Strong English, Mathematics, Finance and/or Economics qualifications
  • Strong writing skills and competent use of grammar
  • Computer literate (advanced Word and Excel)
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • The ability to work within a team environment, adapting to different teams as appropriate
  • Coping with high pressure/deadline driven environments
